Trellis SCROG
Master canopy control with a more premium learning flow. This module teaches structure, timing, light distribution, and how to turn raw growth into clean horizontal power.
What is SCROG training?
SCROG is not just bending branches under a net. It is about controlling structure, energy, and light so every top becomes productive.
SCROG stands for Screen of Green. It is a training method where a horizontal net or trellis controls how the plant spreads, instead of allowing natural vertical dominance.
In plain language, you turn vertical growth into horizontal growth. That means more tops, better light use, and a cleaner canopy with fewer weak zones.
Why it matters: indoor light is strongest at canopy level. When one top dominates, the rest falls into shadow. SCROG fixes wasted light.
This is active plant management. You are shaping a system, not just growing a plant and hoping for the best.
Light is everything
Every strong light zone should hit useful growth, not dead air and weak lowers.
Break apical dominance
Topping splits control across multiple main branches instead of feeding one dominant cola.
Redistribute energy
Even structure means even development and a stronger final canopy.
Time the flip right
Switch to flower when the screen is about 70 to 80% full so stretch fills the rest.
What you need
No bullshit. These are the real requirements for a clean SCROG setup.
Healthy plant
Use a strong vegetative plant that already has structure and multiple branches forming.
Trellis net
A net with roughly 5 to 10 cm spacing gives you clear control over branch placement.
Grow space
You need horizontal room. SCROG is wasted if the canopy has nowhere to spread.
Even lighting
Uniform overhead light makes canopy control matter. Uneven lighting weakens the system.
Patience
Daily attention during veg is what builds a premium canopy. Lazy training gives messy results.
